KATHMANDU, May 30, 2025 — In a significant move to strengthen foundational education in Nepal, the National PABSON Kathmandu District Committee successfully conducted a large-scale teacher training program targeting pre-primary and primary level female educators. The event, held at Texas College in Mitranagar, brought together 327 teachers from 40 private schools across the Kathmandu Valley.
Focused Training for Early-Grade Education
The training sessions emphasized modern teaching methodologies, including interactive learning strategies, micro-teaching techniques, and teacher motivation workshops. The program was designed to empower early-grade educators with tools to enhance classroom engagement and child-centric learning environments — aligning with Nepal’s broader push to improve early childhood education in private schools.
Distinguished Guests Highlight Importance of Teacher Development
The event was inaugurated by Geeta Kshetri Rana, founding chairperson of National PABSON and a former member of Nepal’s Constituent Assembly, who served as the chief guest. Speaking at the event, Rana emphasized the critical role of trained teachers in shaping the next generation of learners and urged continued investment in capacity-building for women in education.

District Committee Chairperson Hom Bahadur Adhikari (Manoj), who also chaired the event, shared that the program was designed to build effective classroom practices and boost morale among female teachers, especially those working in foundational education.
