For the new academic year 2082, the Office of the Municipal Executive, Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, has officially announced a scholarship program. This program targets students studying in institutional(private) schools under the municipality. This scholarship initiative is based on the Education Act 2028, Section 16(j) and Education Regulation 2059, Rule 151, which mandate that institutional schools reserve a certain percentage of scholarships for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

- Application Form: available at the Education, Youth, and Sport Division of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality.
Who Is Qualified to Apply?
Students ranging in grade 1 through 9 from Madhyapur Thimi Municipality fall into: Economically poor families, women, dalit group, children with disabilities, indigenous nationalities, minority groups, conflict-affected children, and other.
Application Procedure
1. Get the form for applications: Collect the scholarship application form from Madhyapur Thimi Municipality’s Education, Youth, and Sports Division.
2. Ward Suggestion: Get a reference letter proving your eligibility from your particular ward office.
3. Submit to school: Send your current school the finished paperwork together with the ward recommendation.
4. Committee Policy Decision: The Municipal Scholarship Management Committee will decide at its planned meeting the last choice.
Extra Notes
Previously awardees of this scholarship are still eligible, however they must apply once more and will be assessed using the same standards.
The scholarship payout shall be determined by the student quota of the institutional school, controlled according to Scholarship Management Guidelines 2080.
